Battleship Texas Foundation and Browning Partner on Limited Edition Shotguns
FORT WORTH, TX (September 1, 2015) – In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 1914 Battleship Texas Commissioning, the Battleship Texas Foundation partnered with Browning and Baron Engraving to produce a limited edition Browning Citori Gran Lightning shotgun. On sale now, the commemorative 28” barrel over-and-under shotgun is available in both 12 and 20 gauge.

These beautifully engraved, limited-edition Browning shotguns not only fund a great cause, but give supporters a chance to own a piece of history.”
Each Citori shotgun boasts high quality wood and is engraved with silver-plated ships representing the 1914 USS Texas and the upgraded 1927 USS Texas, encased in 24K gold-plated rope above a banner reading USS Texas. Under the receiver is the title The Mighty T in 24K gold-plating against a silver-plated background. Five gold-plated battle stars designate the USS Texas’ major WWII battles.
“Browning and Baron Engraving have really raised the bar with this effort. I can’t think of a better cause than helping save The Battleship Texas. What a beautiful shotgun,” says Battleship Texas board member, T. Wright.
The Battleship Texas is credited as the last surviving ship to fight in both World War I and World War II. A National Historic Landmark, the ship is now in need of critical maintenance. All proceeds from the shotguns fund repair and restoration of the Battleship Texas, and a portion of the purchase price is tax deductible. Serial numbers will be released in tandem with order placement.
